As we reflect on the milestones of our community, we look back at a truly powerful weekend of worship, connection, and spiritual growth: the Burmese Christian Association of North America (BCANA) 2025 Annual Conference.

Hosted in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, this gathering brought together believers from across North America to fellowship, unite in prayer, and dive deep into God’s Word.

📖 The Theme: “Proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor”

The spiritual heartbeat of the 2025 conference centered on hope, restoration, and the declaration of God’s goodness. Drawn from Luke 4:18-19 and Leviticus 25:12-13, the theme challenged us to live out our faith boldly and remember the liberty and grace we have received in Christ.

A very special thank you goes out to our incredible hosts who opened their doors and hearts to make this event possible:

• Mannahouse Myanmar Church

• Oregon Myanmar Christian Church

The main sessions and gatherings were held at the beautiful Mannahouse Church, located at 9200 NE Fremont St, Portland, OR 97220. The scenic, welcoming campus provided the perfect backdrop for a weekend of retreat and revival.

🗓️ Event Timeline & Highlights

The conference spanned four days, packed with meaningful programming from Thursday evening, July 10, to Sunday evening, July 13, 2025. Attendees enjoyed:

• Dynamic worship services and biblical teaching.

• Community Fellowship: The $75 registration fee wonderfully covered 7 shared meals and a commemorative conference T-shirt, allowing everyone to bond over food and shared stories.

• Shared Lodging: Many of our out-of-town guests stayed nearby at the Holiday Inn Airport I-205, creating a wonderful environment for late-night conversations and building lifelong connections across churches.

A Lasting Impact

Though the 2025 conference has concluded, the fruits of that weekend continue to grow in our local ministries. The laughter shared, the prayers offered at the altar, and the unified voices singing praises across languages remain a beautiful reminder of what God is doing within the Burmese Christian diaspora.
