Hello Sayas, Sayamas, and Lay Leaders:
Greetings! The time for the conference is getting closer. This year conference will be held at Houston, Texas, from Thursday, July 19 to Sunday, July 22, 2012. The conference’s theme is “Jesus Christ is the Truth”, and it is based on scripture John 14: 6.

The conference host is the Greater Houston Burmese Christian Fellowship. Its pastor, Rev. Dr. Thong Kho Lun, co-pastor, and the lay leaders have graciously offered to host the 2012 conference at their church. The GHBCF is our newest member of the BCANA and became the thirteenth member at the 2011 Biennial Meeting in Vancouver BC, Canada.

The programs’ details are currently being worked by the program committee, and I will send it out once the details are finalized. The program includes separate sessions for the pastors and spouses, lay leaders, and youths/young adults. The sessions contain worship, bible study, theme presentation, discussion and sharing in each group. In addition, the program may also includes Friday evening worship through music with the Christian Musician Fellowship’s singers from Burma, Saturday afternoon tour of the Houston and vicinity, and the Sunday morning worship at Lakewood Church (Pastor Joel Osteen).

Please post and distribute the flyer widely among your church members about the conference. This will be a great time to reflect, re-energize as well as fellowship. We sincerely hope you can join. Please let me know if you have questions. God bless.
